We’re looking for a business minded individual with great interpersonal skills and an interest in the big issues that affect the Norfolk business community – issues such as climate change and getting to net zero, sustainability, transport infrastructure, broadband provision, skills and recruitment and growth and investment. In this role you’ll interacting with all sorts of businesses from large corporates to small SMEs and even sole traders. Giving everyone a voice and fairly and impartially gathering up their views and wishes is a key part of this role. This will be done through a range of tools including email surveys, focus groups, one to one meetings and larger topic focussed networking gatherings. You’ll need to be confident interacting with local politicians, local government, education providers and funders too as they all form part of the business ecosystem.
Are you a customer focussed individual with a good network in the Norfolk business community? Would you enjoy meeting with business leaders, listening to their challenges and concerns and then developing policy ideas to present to local and national government as well as local skills providers and funders?
To be considered you’ll need a background in account management or customer experience in a B2B setting where you had some face to face interaction with your customers. You might have worked in public relations, community engagement or in local politics as a researcher or comms person. You’ll need to flexible, team orientated and diplomatic. You’ll also need a full UK driving licence as travel is a key part of the role.
The position is a hybrid one combining home working, being out on location with business customers and being based in offices in Norwich City Centre.
